Job Summary
Diagnose and treat seriously ill, multi-symptomatic patients and provide quality patient-centered care to outpatients aged 65 and older. Advise and clinically supervise mid-levels while assessing veterans using advanced clinical judgment to identify acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems. Plan, implement, and evaluate care based on specific patient requirements, integrating services with social work, prosthetics, and home-based health care. Participate in Medical Center committees, Continuous Quality Improvement teams, and grading sessions for medical students and trainees. Complete all medical record documentation in CPRS and identify individual professional learning needs for formal and self-directed education. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Completed Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- Preferably 5 years of hospitalist experience
