Job Summary
Assess veterans using advanced clinical judgment and physical assessment skills to identify acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems. Provide quality patient-centered care to outpatients aged 65+ and consistently demonstrate expertise in diagnosing and treating seriously ill, multi-symptomatic patients. Advise and clinically supervise mid-levels while integrating patient care activities across Primary Care Services, Social Work, Prosthetics, and Home Based Health Care programs. Participate in Medical Center committees, Continuous Quality Improvement teams, and grading sessions for medical students and GME trainees. Complete all medical record documentation in CPRS timely and establish measurable health education and treatment goals with patients and their families. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Completed Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- Preferably 5 years of experience
