Job Summary
Assess veterans using advanced clinical judgment to diagnose acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems, then plan, implement, and evaluate care based on specific patient requirements. Provide quality patient-centered care to outpatients aged 65+ while advising and clinically supervising mid-levels such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Participate in Medical Center committees, Continuous Quality Improvement teams, and grading sessions for medical students and GME trainees. Complete all medical record documentation in CPRS timely and identify individual professional learning needs for formal and self-directed education. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Completed Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- Preferably 5 years of hospitalist experience
