Job Summary
Diagnose and treat seriously ill, multi-symptomatic patients while providing quality, patient-centered care to outpatients aged 65 and older. Advise and clinically supervise mid-levels, including nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Assess veterans using advanced clinical judgment to identify acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems. Participate in Medical Center committees, Continuous Quality Improvement teams, and grading sessions for medical students and GME trainees. Integrate patient care activities with Social Work, Prosthetics, and Home Based Health Care programs. Complete all medical record documentation in CPRS and establish measurable health education goals with patients and families. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Completed Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- Preferably 5 years of hospitalist experience
