Job Summary
Diagnose and treat seriously ill, multi-symptomatic patients and provide quality patient-centered care to outpatients aged 65 and older. Advise and clinically supervise mid-levels while actively participating in Medical Center committees, Continuous Quality Improvement teams, and grading sessions for medical students and GME trainees. Identify acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems using advanced clinical judgment, then plan, implement, and evaluate care based on specific patient requirements. Include patients and providers in establishing measurable goals and treatment plans, while consistently completing CPRS documentation. Maintain knowledge of disease management through mandatory yearly education and self-directed learning activities. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Completed Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- Preferably 5 years of hospitalist experience
