Job Summary

Assess veterans using advanced clinical judgment to diagnose acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems while providing patient-centered care to adults and older adults aged 65+. Clinically supervise mid-level providers, participate in Medical Center committees, and lead Continuous Quality Improvement teams. Identify individual professional learning needs and complete mandatory annual education, integrating care activities with Social Work, Prosthetics, and Home Based Health Care programs. Document all cases in CPRS and establish measurable health education goals with patients and families. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
  • Completed Internal Medicine Residency Training

Desired Qualifications

  • Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
  • Preferably 5 years of hospitalist experience
