Job Summary

Provide quality patient-centered care to outpatients for adults and older adults (65+), assessing veterans using advanced clinical judgment to identify acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems. Diagnose and treat seriously ill, multi-symptomatic patients while advising and clinically supervising mid-levels such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Participate in Medical Center committees, Continuous Quality Improvement teams, and grading sessions for medical students and GME trainees. Establish realistic, measurable goals with patients and families to plan care on a continuum, ensuring all medical record documentation is completed in CPRS timely. Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30pm. U.S. citizenship and current, unrestricted medical license required; Internal Medicine residency mandatory. Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice preferred with five years of hospitalist experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
  • Completed Internal Medicine Residency Training

Desired Qualifications

  • Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
  • Preferably 5 years of hospitalist experience
