Job Summary
Assess veterans using advanced clinical judgment to diagnose acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems while providing quality patient-centered care to adults and older adults. Clinically supervise mid-level providers, medical students, and residents, including participation in grading sessions. Identify individual professional learning needs to complete mandatory education, workshops, and seminars, and actively participate in Medical Center committees and Continuous Quality Improvement teams. Integrate patient care activities with social work, prosthetics, and home-based health care programs, and establish realistic treatment goals with patients and families. Complete all medical record documentation in CPRS and plan, implement, and evaluate care based on specific patient requirements. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Hemet VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- 5 years of primary care experience
- 3 years of Recent Active Primary Care Clinical Practice with women's health experience
