Job Summary
Advises and clinically supervises mid-levels, medical students, and residents while actively participating in Medical Center committees and Continuous Quality Improvement teams. Provides quality patient-centered care to outpatients aged 65+ and older adults, assessing veterans with advanced clinical judgment to identify acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems. Consistently demonstrates expertise in diagnosing and treating seriously ill, multi-symptomatic patients and integrates care activities with Social Work, Prosthetics, and Home Based Health Care programs. Completes all medical record documentation in CPRS, establishes realistic health education goals with patients, and participates in grading sessions for medical students and GME trainees.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- 5 years of primary care experience
- 3 years of Recent Active Primary Care Clinical Practice with women's health experience
