Job Summary
Assess veterans using advanced clinical judgment to diagnose acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems. Provide quality patient-centered care to outpatients, including adults and those aged 65+, while integrating care with social work, prosthetics, and home-based health programs. Clinically supervise mid-level providers, medical students, and residents, and participate in grading sessions for GME trainees. Actively engage in Medical Center committees, Continuous Quality Improvement teams, and facility-wide mandatory education programs. Maintain comprehensive medical record documentation in CPRS and establish measurable health goals with patients through mutual planning. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Hemet VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic, serving over 80,000 veterans in the Inland Empire.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- 5 years of primary care experience
- 3 years of Recent Active Primary Care Clinical Practice with women's health experience
