Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive primary care for veterans, including adults and older adults aged 65+, by assessing patients with advanced clinical judgment and diagnosing acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems. Advise and clinically supervise mid-level providers, medical students, and residents while participating in grading sessions for GME trainees. Deliver patient-centered care through continuous quality improvement initiatives and integrate services with social work, prosthetics, and home-based health care. Maintain accurate medical record documentation in CPRS and establish measurable health education goals with patients and families. Complete mandatory annual education and self-directed learning activities to stay current on disease management treatments.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- 5 years of primary care experience
- 3 years of Recent Active Primary Care Clinical Practice with women's health experience
