Job Summary
Assess veterans using advanced clinical judgment to diagnose acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems while providing patient-centered care to adults and older adults. Clinically supervise mid-levels, medical students, and residents, and actively participate in Medical Center committees and Continuous Quality Improvement teams. Identify professional learning needs to complete mandatory education and formal programs, then integrate care activities across Social Work, Prosthetics, and Home Based Health Care programs. Plan, implement, and evaluate care based on specific patient requirements while documenting in CPRS and establishing measurable health goals with patients and families.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- 5 years of primary care experience
- 3 years of Recent Active Primary Care Clinical Practice with women's health experience
