Job Summary
Provide quality patient-centered care to outpatients for adults and older adults, assessing veterans with advanced clinical judgment and diagnosing acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems. Clinically supervise mid-levels, medical students, and residents while actively participating in Medical Center committees, Continuous Quality Improvement teams, and grading sessions. Identify individual professional learning needs to complete mandatory education, workshops, and self-directed activities, and integrate patient care with social work, prosthetics, and home-based health programs. Complete all medical record documentation in CPRS and establish measurable goals with patients and families.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- 5 years of primary care experience
- 3 years of Recent Active Primary Care Clinical Practice with women's health experience
