Job Summary
Provide quality patient-centered care to outpatients for adults and older adults, assessing veterans using advanced clinical judgment to identify acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems. Diagnose and treat seriously ill, multi-symptomatic patients while integrating care activities with social work, prosthetics, and home-based health care programs. Clinically supervise mid-levels, medical students, and residents; participate in grading sessions and Medical Center committees. Identify professional learning needs to complete mandatory education, workshops, and seminars. Plan, implement, and evaluate care based on specific patient requirements, including establishing measurable goals with patients and families. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- 5 years of primary care experience
- 3 years of Recent Active Primary Care Clinical Practice with women's health experience
