Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive primary care for veterans, including adults and older adults age 65+, while assessing acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems using advanced clinical judgment. Provide quality patient-centered care and integrate services with social work, prosthetics, and home-based health care. Supervise mid-level providers, medical students, and residents; participate in grading sessions and Medical Center committees. Identify professional learning needs and complete mandatory education, workshops, and self-directed activities. Document all patient care in CPRS and establish measurable health education goals with patients and families.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- 5 years of primary care experience
- 3 years of Recent Active Primary Care Clinical Practice with women's health experience
