Job Summary
Provide quality patient-centered care to outpatients for adults and older adults, assessing veterans with advanced clinical judgment to identify acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems. Clinically supervise mid-levels, medical students, and residents while participating in grading sessions, Medical Center committees, and Continuous Quality Improvement teams. Integrate patient care activities with Social Work, Prosthetics, and Home Based Health Care programs, establishing measurable goals and documenting records in CPRS. Maintain expertise through formal and self-directed continuing medical education, workshops, and seminars.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- 5 years of primary care experience
- 3 years of Recent Active Primary Care Clinical Practice with women's health experience
