Job Summary
Provide quality patient-centered care to outpatients for adults and older adults (65+), assessing veterans with advanced clinical judgment to identify acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems. Clinically supervise mid-levels, medical students, and residents while participating in grading sessions. Actively engage in Medical Center committees, Continuous Quality Improvement teams, and facility programs to enhance patient care delivery. Integrate care activities with Social Work, Prosthetics, and Home Based Health Care programs. Maintain comprehensive medical record documentation in CPRS and establish measurable health education goals with patients and providers. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Completed Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- 5 years of primary care experience
- minimum of 3 years of Recent Active Primary Care Clinical Practice with women's health experience
