Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive primary care for veterans aged 65+ at the Hemet VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic, diagnosing and treating acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems. Clinically supervise mid-level providers, medical students, and residents while actively participating in Medical Center committees and Continuous Quality Improvement teams. Deliver patient-centered care by establishing measurable health goals with patients and families, integrating services with social work, prosthetics, and home-based health care. Maintain accurate CPRS documentation and complete mandatory annual education to stay current on disease management and treatment developments.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Internal Medicine Residency Training
Desired Qualifications
- board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- 5 years of primary care experience
- 3 years of Recent Active Primary Care Clinical Practice with women's health experience
