Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, establish diagnoses for short-term and chronic conditions, and initiate therapeutic plans consistent with patient needs. Supervise Physician Assistants and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, participating in daily team huddles and clinical meetings. Order and review labs and diagnostic tests, monitor clients with acute or chronic illnesses, and provide appropriate follow-up. Prescribe drugs, devices, and immunizing agents while referring community resources and making consultations as required. Maintain privileges at Westfield Memorial Hospital and share call schedules as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Current Physician license and board certification in family practice or similar specialty
- Graduate of accredited medical school and residency program required
- Current CPR certification
- Location: This position is based in Fredonia NY but will also occasionally work in Westfield NY
- Travel Required: <10%
- Required to maintain privileges at Westfield Memorial Hospital in Westfield
