Meet with patients to assess symptoms, inquire into illness or injury, and accurately diagnose medical conditions. Thoroughly examine patients, perform clinical tests, and conduct in-office treatments when possible. Assign and educate patients on appropriate treatment plans, prescribe medicines with correct dosages, and order necessary diagnostic tests. Analyze results, maintain patient records, and conduct follow-ups to monitor progress. Refer patients to specialists as needed and encourage preventative health measures. Direct, train, and supervise medical staff on proper procedures. Maintain confidentiality and integrity while continuing research to stay abreast of medical innovations.
