Job Summary
Primary Care Physician to provide onsite services at the Lufkin VA Clinic (TX). Full-time opportunity with 8:00 am–4:30 pm schedule, no call or holidays, and potential up to four Saturdays per year; includes comprehensive primary care with women's health for a defined patient panel, coordination with clinic staff, history taking, examinations, labs/diagnostics, treatment plans, referrals, and patient education using the CPRS system. Requires board-certified or board-eligible status in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, active U.S. medical license, NPI, DEA license, BLS, and ability to pass a federal background check; no sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- NPI report printout
- Active DEA license
- Has and maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be able to pass a federal background investigation
- No sponsorship available
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
