Job Summary
Primary Care Physician focused on HIV medicine in Castro/San Francisco area. Manage a patient panel with acute, chronic, and well visits emphasizing HIV treatment and prevention (including PrEP). Conduct in-office and testing-center visits with occasional tele-health, participate in weekly clinical rounds, collaborate with in-office and virtual clinical teams, perform in-office procedures, and supervise NP/PA colleagues. Requires California state licensure and board certification/eligibility with a plan to obtain board certification within 1 year. Willingness to obtain additional state licensure for virtual primary care across states. Relocation assistance may be available.
Required Qualifications
- Full medical license in California
- Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine, or Board Eligible with plans to obtain board certification within 1 year
- Completed residency in Internal or Family Medicine or enrolled in accredited program
- Proficiency in HIV pathophysiology, treatment protocols, pharmacology, and co-morbidities
- Proficiency in counseling and treatment on HIV prevention strategies (PrEP)
- 2+ years outpatient primary care experience with an HIV panel of patients (implied by

- AAHIVS certification preferred but not required
- Willingness to obtain additional state licensure and credentialing for virtual primary care in additional states
- Experience with tele-health visits
- Ability to utilize technology to deliver high quality care
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Interest in outpatient and telehealth modalities
- Ownership of patient care and supervision of NP/PA colleagues
