Job Summary
Primary Care Physician position in NM (Santa Fe or Albuquerque) focusing on HIV/Hepatitis C treatment within a non-profit FQHC-LAL. Responsibilities include examining and diagnosing patients, developing and managing treatment plans, preventive care education, coordinating with specialists, maintaining detailed medical records, and providing clinical leadership and staff supervision. Requires post-residency experience in primary care (3+ years preferred), MD/DO degree, NM medical license, and DEA registration. HIV experience is highly desirable; AAHIVS certification is also desirable. Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
- Unencumbered medical license to practice in New Mexico
- Board Certification in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics
- DEA registration
- 3+ years post-residency experience in primary care (preferred)
- HIV experience highly desirable
- AAHIVS certification highly desirable
- Ability to provide leadership and supervise clinical staff
- Knowledge of Athena EMR or similar electronic medical record systems
- Commitment to service in a non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting
