Job Summary
Deliver primary care across preventive health, chronic disease management, urgent care, and pediatrics while acting as a key PCP for the patient population in clinic and digitally. Collaborate with behavioral health, virtual urgent care, triage, and clinical subspecialists to solve patient problems efficiently through shared decision-making and personalized treatment plans. Provide highly individualized care to diverse and complex patients in a modern, technology-enabled practice setting. This role supports the Starbase, TX clinic, which operates Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm CST (with future plans to extend to 8pm CST). The position is a salaried 0.8 FTE role at $240,000 annually. Galileo is a team-based medical practice working to improve the quality and affordability of health care for all, offering longitudinal care across 50 states.
Required Qualifications
- Family Medicine Physician
- extensive clinical experience
- comfort with complex clinical and social needs
- eager to care for patients in a modern, technology-enabled practice
- driven to create systems that enable personalized, empathetic care
- eager to find a practice that supports approaching patient care in ways that make a meaningful, real impact
- 5+ years of clinical experience in chronic care and primary care for all ages
- Active board certification in Family Medicine
- comfort seeing Pediatric patients
- Active licensure in Texas
- ability to obtain license by start date with Galileo
- Strong communication skills
- ability to translate complex ideas into simple language
- This is an in office role
- supporting our clinic in Starbase, TX
- This position requires the ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds
- The job involves frequent bending, reaching, and kneeling to perform various tasks
