Job Summary
Primary Care Physician position providing comprehensive care for older adult patients, leading a care team, coordinating care across hospital, SNF, LTC, and homebound settings, engaging with hospitalists, recruiting patients, and supervising APPs while maintaining active licensure and board certification; role requires MD/DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Geriatrics, DEA number, BLS, and potential board certification maintenance; New Orleans location with strong compensation and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics or similar specialty required
- Must be able to obtain a State Medical License or already have a current, active State Medical License for the state(s) in which he/she will be working
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics or similar specialty is preferred. Board Eligibility is required
- Must have a current DEA number for schedule II-V controlled substances
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AMA) or American Red Cross required within first 90 days of employment
