Job Summary
Independently assess acute and non-acute clinical problems, perform physical assessments, and develop patient management plans including nursing care and counseling. Write admission, transfer, and discharge orders while ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic studies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to analyze healthcare delivery systems, participate in rounds, and facilitate patient transitions to lower levels of care. May perform invasive procedures independently upon documented competency and initiate life-saving procedures when necessary. This role requires 50-75% local travel and involves maintaining board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics. Required Qualifications
- MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics or similar specialty
- Must be able to obtain a State Medical License or already have a current, active State Medical License for the state(s) in which he/she will be working
- Board Eligibility
- Must have a current DEA number for schedule II-V controlled substances
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AMA) or American Red Cross
- Must be caring and empathetic and have great listening skills
- Must be detail-oriented, and able to pay close attention to patient charts, medications, and follow-up on details of patient care
- Basic computer skills and some knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- This position may require 50-75% of local travel
