Job Summary
Primary Care Paramedic provides compassionate, high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team. Responsibilities include ensuring accessible, responsive, and integrated patient care, operating and using vehicles and equipment per provincial regulations, collaborating with health care providers, allied emergency services, and community agencies, maintaining professional conduct aligned with Shared Health policies, and demonstrating commitment to LEADS framework values. Requirements include certification at the Primary Care Paramedic level, a valid Class IV driver’s license, BLS level C or equivalent, and participation in related training; bilingual capabilities are noted for designated positions. The role involves travel and exposure to high-stress, physically demanding situations as part of in-person ERS-oriented care in Thompson, Manitoba.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Primary Care Paramedic program held by an accredited Canadian education institution, or a College of Paramedics of Manitoba approved equivalent.
- Certificate of Practice with the College of Paramedics of Manitoba – Member in good standing, at minimum at the Primary Care Paramedic level.
- valid Class IV Manitoba driver’s license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), level C or equivalent.
