Job Summary
Primary Care Paramedics provide compassionate, high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team. They are responsible for the safe, effective operation and use of vehicles and equipment, in accordance with Manitoba Provincial Regulations and Shared Health policy, and for collaborating with health care providers, allied emergency services, and community agencies. The role requires professional conduct, adherence to LEADS principles, and the ability to communicate across languages when designated bilingual positions apply. Candidates must meet certification/licensing requirements, complete required fitness and knowledge assessments, and be prepared for travel and varying shifts (days/nights/weekends) as part of a 1.0 FTE position.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Primary Care Paramedic program
- Certificate of Practice with the College of Paramedics of Manitoba – Member in good standing, at minimum at the Primary Care Paramedic level
- Valid Class IV Manitoba driver’s license
- Basic Life Support (BLS), level C or equivalent
