Job Summary
Primary Care NP or PA needed at WellMed's Northwest Blvd clinic in Corpus Christi, TX. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality, ambulatory primary care to Medicare-aged patients (typically 15-16 patients/day) in a collaborative OptumCare environment with strong clinical support. You will work with primary care physicians, hospitalists, and subspecialists, participate in managed-care workflows, and contribute to patient-centered initiatives. Compensation includes base salary with a target quality bonus, comprehensive benefits, 401(k) with match, stock purchase plan, and generous PTO/CME. Required certifications/licensure (AANP/ANCC/NCCPA, Texas NP/PA licensure, DEA) and comfort with a Medicare population; bilingual English/Spanish preferred; 1+ year of NP/PA clinical experience preferred. Located in Houston, TX area, with full-time, outpatient care in a clinic setting.
Required Qualifications
- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current Licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners OR Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board
- Valid DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment
- Comfortable managing a primarily Medicare-aged patient population
