Primary Care Medical Assistant

Job Summary
Screen patients according to established protocols by obtaining vital signs, height, weight, and vision/hearing testing. Perform accurate charting in the medical record, maintain exam rooms, and disinfect tables between patients. Conduct phlebotomy, fingersticks, and injections as permitted or ordered, while maintaining strict infection control. Administer in-house waived testing including pregnancy tests, hemoglobin, and urine dip, logging results in patient records. Manage appointments by making, canceling, or rescheduling them, and follow up on compliance and no-shows. Counsel patients on diet, exercise, and medication per treatment plans, and assist with referrals and mandatory reporting. Work M-F 8-5 with a competitive rate of pay and full benefits package.

Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year or more direct patient care experience in a family medical practice setting
- Completion of a medical assisting program or certification
- Athena EMR experience
