Job Summary
Primary Care Nurse role to support both Patients and Clinicians through the primary care process within the Halifax Mentor Clinic; responsibilities include pre-visit staging, triaging, assisting providers during visits, charting and documenting patient information, conducting vitals and routine assessments (PAPs, Well Babies/Womens checks, vaccines), following up on tasks, and contributing to mentorship and process improvement within a multidisciplinary team. The position emphasizes collaboration with clinicians, nurses, and other health professionals, developing scope of work, and participating in continuing education. Must-have qualifications include a Bachelor of Nursing, Nova Scotia RN license, and proficiency with Telus Med-Access EMR and Microsoft Office. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Clinical experience in a primary care environment.
- Nova Scotia RN license
- Medical Liability Insurance
- Solid computer skills with a working knowledge of the Telus Med-Access EMR and Microsoft Office
- The ability to maintain employee confidentiality during interactions with staff
- The ability to work collaboratively with other health care providers
