Job Summary
Primary Care Dietitian provides nutritional expertise within Mosaic PCN clinics and physician offices, delivering patient-centered care to address nutrition-related conditions, educating individuals and groups, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to population health programs. The role includes conducting nutrition assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, providing motivational interviewing and behavior-change coaching, documenting care in EMR, and participating in community engagement and professional development. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, licensure with the CDA, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, and strong communication and organizational skills. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required; travel in the area is possible.},
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree in nutrition
- Licensed within the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in public health/health promotion/community-based nutrition
- Experience with ethnically diverse, vulnerable, and high-risk populations
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certificate is an asset
- International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certificate is an asset
