Job Summary
Register and pre-register patients, manage clinic voicemail and text communications, and perform patient check-ins while verifying insurance eligibility and collecting copays. Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments across multiple service lines, coordinating internal and external referrals with documentation and follow-up. Monitor appointment confirmations, route travel documents and medical records, and support self-check-in processes in electronic health records. Escalate complex issues and communicate clearly with patients, providers, and external partners to resolve care coordination challenges. Maintain accurate demographic and eligibility information in the EHR while upholding patient confidentiality and supporting efficient clinic flow.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or two (2) years of college, preferably in social services, healthcare administration, business administration, or related field
- Two (2) years of relevant work experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of referral processes
- Knowledge of insurance benefits
- Knowledge of authorization requirements
