Job Summary
Prepare accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) by calculating material, assembly, and test costs. Analyze BOMs for pricing, alternates, and lifecycle status while sourcing electronic components from distributors and suppliers. Work with procurement and engineering teams for cost validation, support pricing strategy for customer quotes and bids, and maintain RFQ tracking records in Excel/ERP systems. Identify cost reduction opportunities and alternate sourcing options to balance cost accuracy, supply chain risk, and margin targets. This role performs work covered by International Traffic in Arms Regulations, requiring export license eligibility or U.S. person status.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in EMS, electronics manufacturing, or PCBA quoting
- Knowledge of PCB assembly (SMT, THT) and electronic components
- Ability to read BOMs, Gerber files, and engineering drawings
- Strong Excel skills for costing and data analysis
- Experience with ERP systems
- Eligible for an export license or be a U.S. Person (which includes but is not limited to U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Tier 2 or Tier 3 EMS companies
- Knowledge of supply chain and component sourcing
- Understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Typically requires 5–7 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience
