Job Summary
Manage all formal RFP, RFQ, and large contractual bid opportunities from qualification through submission, initiating cross-functional kickoff calls and leading project teams to ensure deadlines are met. Perform full review and analysis of bid documents to determine scope, risks, and timelines, while determining go/no-go decisions with Sales leadership. Coordinate collaboration with Sales, Finance, Contracts, and vendors to complete submission materials, manage Q&A periods, and maintain the RFP library. Validate system pricing, cross-reference market baskets, and partner with Finance to ensure margin thresholds align with profitability objectives. Conduct post-award analysis to identify improvements and develop tools to streamline bid preparation. Requires BS/BA degree, five years of experience, and proficiency in ERP, CRM, and analytical tools.
Required Qualifications
- A passion for understanding pricing strategies and execution methodologies in a manufacturing and/or distribution business
- Strategic thinker and problem solver
- Detail oriented, organized, and analytical. Has the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to drive projects and activities to successful conclusion, operating with a high sense of urgency
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems (Epicor, Salesforce)
- Excellent analytical capabilities including Excel, Power BI, and relational database skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently with broad general guidance against a framework of defined business objectives
- BS/BA degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or related field or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years applicable experience
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to drive a car to meet with clients
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in pricing, contract management and/or RFP/Bids preferred
