Job Summary
Partner with stakeholders to understand pricing needs and identify opportunities for sustainable growth. Act as a subject matter expert to support pricing decisions, set assumptions, and apply expert judgement with insight-backed justification. Design and implement robust pricing models and trigger-based assumption reviews using Python, R, and Mo.Net. Develop methodologies for existing and new pricing frameworks while building insight across products to optimize solutions and ensure pricing reflects underlying risk. Maintain high standards for pricing methodology, models, tools, and processes to deliver value-adding advice to commercial teams.
Required Qualifications
- qualified Actuary
- experience in annuity pricing
- experience in annuity investment management
- basic understanding of coding
- basic understanding of model development
- relevant experience in one or more of these software packages (Python, R, VBA, Mo.Net)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective influencing and stakeholder management skills
- A keen eye for detail
- Inquisitive with a strong problem-solving background
- Strong technical ability in analysing customer needs
- Ability to effectively use AI and automation to simplify work and deliver high quality output at pace
- A good understanding of actuarial concept and techniques
