Job Summary
Produce price assessments and relevant news coverage on agriculture and fertilizer markets with strict adherence to established methodologies. Engage regularly with market participants across the agricultural supply chain to identify and execute price assessment opportunities that drive growth in the Asian market. Publish commentaries on major global events influencing these sectors while representing S&P Global Energy as a speaker or panelist at international industry events. Assist in developing new price assessment initiatives to expand market reach.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years' reporting/writing/analytical/editorial experience
- Strong numeracy skills, including the ability to understand the basic principles of statistics and to apply basic math functions in Excel
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of role types and personalities, internally and externally
- Excellent English communication skills
- Awareness of global commodity markets and economic principles
- Self-starter mindset with effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform well under tight deadlines
- Culturally and socially sensitive
Desired Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge of the agriculture and fertilizer trading sector
- Fluency in relevant international languages (such as Mandarin or other Asian languages)
