Job Summary
Previs/Layout Artist (Junior, Mid, Senior) for a premium Marvel Animation streaming series. Revenues a hands-on cinematography role: bring storyboards into a cohesive 3D space, compose and lens each shot, block character animation for timing and staging, and execute final camera work after animation. Collaborate with editorial to ensure flow, partner with animation to address blocking/staging in the pipeline, and adapt creatively to revisions. Must demonstrate strong cinematic principles, craft compelling framing and camera movements, and leverage Maya within a production pipeline. Hybrid schedule in Vancouver, BC with extended health benefits and growth opportunities. Competitive CAD salary range provided; priority given to BC residents, Canadians, and permanent residents.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of production experience in Previs, Layout, or Camera (Junior level)
- 3–5+ years of production experience (Mid level)
- 5+ years of production experience (Senior level)
- A demonstrated, keen understanding of cinematography principles: framing, lenses, depth of field, camera movement
- Working experience within a Maya pipeline
- Eligibility to work legally in British Columbia, Canada
