Job Summary
Assist clients viewing auction items inside and outside display cases while answering general inquiries regarding sale dates and times. Provide quality customer service and call specialists for technical information or specific property inquiries. Deliver lots to customers based on collection slips, obtain signatures, and file slips appropriately. Follow security procedures to prevent theft during previews, deliveries, and special events. Perform administrative tasks, unpack and pack boxes, help set up sales, and polish silver as needed. Call department lists to remind customers of upcoming previews. Maintain business attire and fluency in English while working flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer services skills and desire to work with the public
- Enthusiastic and calm under pressure, with a common sense approach
- Committed, reliable and capable of working well as part of a team
- Fluency in English necessary
- Ability and willingness to be flexible with working hours
- Business attire required
- Interest in Jewelry, Fine Art, Antiques, and Collectibles
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to accurately follow detailed instructions
- Must be multi-functional and able to shift priorities quickly and easily
