Job Summary
Inspect water lines, steam lines, and pneumatic lines for fluid levels and pressures; check equipment parts for wear and identify failure conditions. Perform complex repairs on machines, operate and maintain building boilers, and adjust air and water temperatures. Monitor reverse osmosis and de-ionized water systems, service HVAC components, and mix chemicals into drains and water systems as directed. Document service dates, repairs, and equipment data using designated software while supervising subcontractor work. Recommend budget expenditures for equipment repairs and stay current on maintenance technology. This on-campus role requires working at 7,220 feet above sea level and includes a respirator fit test.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- completion of related technical or vocational education/training
- Associate's degree
- 1 year of related machine maintenance and mechanical experience
- Must be willing and able to successfully pass the University-required respirator fit test within one month of the start date
- Valid driver's license
- motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP
- Must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus
