Job Summary
Conduct patient-focused clinical care in an ambulatory Patient Centered Medical Home setting without inpatient requirements. Contribute to the teaching mission through resident precepting and collaborate on innovative evidence-based patient care programs. Support population health initiatives including Occupational Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. Maintain licensure to practice medicine in NYS and DEA certification. This non-tenure track, FLSA exempt position begins as soon as possible at Stony Brook University's Department of Family, Population and Preventive Medicine.
Required Qualifications
- MD or equivalent
- license to practice medicine in NYS
- DEA certification or eligibility
- Board Certification or eligibility in General Preventive Medicine
- recent completion of an ACGME approved General Preventive Medicine/Public Health residency training program
- successfully clear a background investigation
Desired Qualifications
- Board certification in Lifestyle Medicine
- Experience with community health programs
- recent experience in an Occupational Medicine clinical setting
- Interest in teaching residents and medical students
