Job Summary
Preventive Maintenance Technician responsible for routine preventive maintenance on hotel systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, elevators, kitchen equipment, and guest room appliances; inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues; implement and maintain preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failures; collaborate with Engineering to plan capital improvement projects; respond to guest and staff maintenance requests with minimal disruption; ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards; maintain inventory of tools and parts; provide guidance and training to junior staff; use Hyatt BOB maintenance management system to track work orders and generate reports.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a maintenance engineer or technician
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems
- Experience with maintenance management software preferred (Hyatt BOB platform a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
