Prevention Specialist

Prevention Specialist tasked with developing and implementing alcohol and substance use prevention programs for individuals, groups, and the community within Michigan. Responsibilities include delivering clear educational material, collaborating with community groups, assisting in policy development and program procedures, facilitating trainings and youth engagement, conducting needs assessments, and preparing reports for funders and accreditation bodies. Requires working knowledge of prevention policies and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations; pursuing prevention certifications (CPS, CAC, CPC) and representing MFS at community events. Expected workload emphasizes substantial community engagement and education, with a baseline of 17–20 MBO hours weekly.
