Job Summary
The Prevention Specialist plays a crucial role in the child welfare team, providing stabilization-focused case management to prevent youth from entering state care. Responsibilities include maintaining a caseload of program participants, assessing needs, formulating goals, providing community resources, and attending court as necessary. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, possess or be able to obtain a Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol, and have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or another human service field required
- Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol (CERAP) or ability to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment required
- Ability to attend in-person meetings and events as needed required
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required
