Prevention Project Specialist (Gambling)

Job Summary

Serve as the primary contact for community coalitions, task forces, and organizations seeking gambling prevention resources and support. Provide leadership, coaching, and consultation to assist with strategic planning, program development, grant applications, and community engagement initiatives. Educate communities on best practices and deliver training to enhance local prevention capacity while responding to service requests across the assigned region. Conduct annual community needs assessments, analyze data to support presentations, and prepare quarterly reports and Minimum Data Set submissions. Ensure compliance with contract requirements and grant expectations while monitoring program outcomes to recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least one (1) year of professional experience in a social service, behavioral health, public health, education, or community-based organization
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned geographic area to attend meetings, trainings, and community events

Desired Qualifications

  • Obtain any required gambling prevention credential(s) within six (6) months of hire, if applicable
  • Complete required gambling prevention and related prevention training within nine (9) months of hire, as required by contract or program standards
