Job Summary
Prevention Health Specialist responsible for educating members and providers on preventive health services to ensure EPSDT compliance and improved health outcomes. Responsibilities include coordinating outreach for Medicaid-related benefits, executing and reporting on quality and preventive health programs (e.g., School Based Health Centers, Telehealth), preparing regular outreach and performance reports, attending quarterly quality-improvement workgroups, engaging with providers via telephonic outreach, ensuring regulatory requirements are met, collaborating with enterprise quality and case managers to coordinate care, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of state clinical/programmatic contract requirements. Requires strong data analysis, presentation, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team in a Mississippi-based office environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or health care field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare, community health or related field is required
- Managed care organization experience is preferred
- Experience working with data and data analytics is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
