Job Summary
Deliver prevention and postvention programs, mental wellness services, and K-12 programming to students, staff, and families across Montgomery County schools. Conduct risk assessments, implement initiatives on vaping, suicide prevention, and cyberbullying, and collaborate with local districts to coordinate and assess assigned programs. Provide Positive Parenting Program training, support the Social Emotional Learning Division, and pursue continuous professional development in prevention education and social-emotional learning while committing to obtaining certification. Function as a flexible team member with 185 contract days.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field and/or a prevention specialist certification
- Satisfactory results on fingerprinting and criminal records check
- A desire to support positive prevention programming for local youth
