Job Summary
Prevention Coordinator for the State Army National Guard. Serves as the Substance Abuse Prevention/Suicide Prevention Trainer and Case Manager under the Risk Reduction Coordinator. Establish and maintain relationships with State Points of Contact (POCs); implement program goals and objectives; coordinate and conduct SAP and SP/Bystander Training for ARNG units; manage Unit Risk Inventory (URI) data, input training into DAMIS, and track progress in internal systems; provide weekly/monthly reports, assist with risk mitigation planning, and support readiness councils. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a social science or related field and 3–5 years of relevant prevention or resiliency experience; strong instructional and briefing skills; ability to work a variable schedule including some weekends; and willingness to travel within-state. Duties also include liaison with community providers and maintaining program documentation across multiple databases (DAMIS, CIMS) and participation in relevant councils (CR2C, ADIC).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science or related field
- 3 – 5 years of practical experience in the Substance Abuse Prevention, Suicide Prevention or Resiliency field
- Strong and professional instruction and briefing skills
- Ability to work a variable schedule including some weekends
- Willingness to travel: In state travel is required
