Job Summary
Preventive maintenance technician responsible for performing scheduled maintenance on production equipment and facilities, lubricating and inspecting machinery, monitoring coolant tanks and conveyors, and documenting maintenance activities in the log system. Role emphasizes adherence to Safety Principles and Quality System Standards, with on-the-job training support and opportunities to contribute to safety, quality, cost, and delivery improvements. Day-to-day duties include filling fluids per specifications, minor repairs, general facilities upkeep, and ensuring equipment operates at peak efficiency in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 18 years or older
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and understand Safety Rules, SOPs, Work Instructions, and equipment manuals
- Ability to identify and use fluids and lubricants per equipment specifications
- Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, and other material moving devices
- Ability to complete routine maintenance forms and logs (PM checklists, fluid logs)
- Ability to communicate effectively with work groups and maintenance teams
- Three to six months maintenance, manufacturing, or warehouse experience; or equivalent education/experience
- Forklift truck training certification preferred
