Preventative Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on CNC production equipment using hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment. Perform mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair of CNC machines while researching parts via technical documents and vendor resources. Travel daily to customer facilities, including occasional overnight stays for remote locations or training programs. Promote and perform maintenance training to customer employees while maintaining a clean, orderly work area in compliance with safety laws. Possess an in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Valid Class D License in good standing
- 3 -5 years of validated experience within the manufacturing industry
- Attention to detail with a technical curiosity and strong problem-solving skills
- Proficient in English verbal and written communication
- Basic digital literacy and solid understanding of MS Office, Word and Outlook and other business programs
- Optimally communicate in person and over the phone with customer and co-workers applying customer relation skills
- Must be adaptable to changes and able to take care of change, delays, or general work-related issues
- Present a professional image
- Must be highly mobile, able to access all areas of the premises
- Ability to concentrate and remain focused while prioritizing multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects
- Ability to sit for prolonged period of times
- Able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavyweight material up to 50 lbs. with assistance from equipment or other employees
- Ability to frequently use hands and arms
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while servicing equipment
- Ability to work in tight spaces or awkward positions, including accessing equipment interiors and elevated areas
- Strong hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills required for precise electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic work
- Ability to work in industrial environments, with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions, while consistently wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Daily travel from home to Customer facilities with occasional overnight hotel stays required when servicing remote Customer locations within the designated coverage territory or when participating in remote training programs
Desired Qualifications
- Maintenance & repair and/or a broad shop background – is a plus
- Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
